Club Structure

RULES

CLUB POWER- unchangeable: The power to change anything about Cinemania!, or control a Cinemania! meeting, with exceptions. This can be delegated by its holder.

EMAIL RULE- unchangeable: Holders of club power must immediately inform every club member by email of changes they make that will affect an upcoming meeting or club policy.

MEETING PROCEDURE- by default: “General meetings” are usually open to anyone. “Member meetings” are open only to members, “officer meetings” only to officers, and so forth. For more details, see “chairperson”

POSITIONS

CHAIRPERSON- by default: The premier occupies this position every meeting. The chairperson controls the meeting, and what is displayed on the projector (i.e. agenda, visual media / art, discussion starters, etc.). The chairperson chooses how discussions are structured (i.e. moderated / un-moderated caucus). If the premier is not present, the officers appoint a chairperson, through highest-number vote. If no officers are present, members appoint a chairperson through highest-number vote.

PREMIER- by default: Cinemania! has one premier, appointed by officers. The premier holds club power.
Unchangeable by the premier: the premier cannot remove an officer, or change officer rights within the club.

OFFICER- by default: Officers are members appointed by the premier, who have club power through a majority vote out of all officers, or during a meeting, out of all the officers present. The officer’s club power override’s the premier’s.

MEMBER- by default: To attain other club positions, a person must first be a member. To become a member, a person must submit a working email to the premier of Cinemania!.
